    Events are missing the header that all of my other posts have. How can I get the header in there?

    I use a theme called Avada. I tried copying the single.php file from Themes/Avada to Themes/Avada-Chiild-Theme and renamed it to single-event.php. That dindn’t get the header in there.

    I should say that I don’t know php. I’ve just used WordPress through the admin so far.

    If you’ve activated the child theme and it contains a single-event.php then WordPress will use that template. If its still not working, if you want to email log-in details to your site, I can take a quick look?
