Stephen,
I plan to update to Event Organiser Pro 1.11.7 from 1.10.2.
What is the procedure? Is it:
- uninstall and remove Event Organiser Pro 1.10.2.
- Update Event Organiser 2.13.2 to 3.1.2, this appears to be an automatic update
- make a fresh installation of Event Organiser Pro 1.11.7
Is this it?
I will be updating wordpress to 4.5.3
Event Organiser iDeal (Mollie):
You made and supplied me with the plugin Event Organiser iDeal (Mollie) 0.1.2.
Does this require an update or will it function fully with the
Event Organiser 3.1.2 and Event Organiser Pro 1.11.7 updates?
Many thanks in advance.
Regards,
Tony

Hi Tony,
Generally speaking it would be advisable to update Pro, and then Event Organiser (provided that the updated Pro does not require a later version of Event Organiser than you have installed).
In your case, it doesn’t matter much. To date, all versions of Pro are compatible with Event Organiser 2.1+.
What you should not do is uninstall the plug-in to update it. Data is deleted, irretrievably, when the plug-in is uninstalled. Instead, you can either update from within your site’s admin or delete the Pro directory via FTP and re-install it.
The Mollie extension should be compatible with the updated versions.
All extensions follow semantic versioning. A x.y.z release indicates a bug fix, security patch or otherwise a minor chage that does not alter the intended functioning of the plug-in. x.y.0 release indicates a update which adds additional features, improvements or otherwise makes changes which does not break or remove existing functionality, or making any breaking change the API (in other words: it should still be compatible with all the other extensions). Lastly a x.0.0 release is a major change which introduces in some breaking change.
In practise almost all updates are non-breaking and changes that would likely adversely effect existing users – particularly around core functionality – are avoided.
