    I’d running events that have only one ticket and for which people can only book one place. At the moment users have to add one place to the ticket – they can’t add more.

    It’s an unnecessary step. Is there a way of having one place on the ticket pre-selected?

    Seems that the simple booking option covers this.

    That’s correct, the “simple booking” option is for when you don’t require users to select a ticket type or quantity.
