I think it would be nice to add ticket types (kind of like taxonomies), which could be used instead of date in the ticket picker.
Is it possible?

When you create a ticket you are actually creating a ticket type. E.g. it might be a ‘Student’ ticket.
That ticket may or may not be available for multiple occurrences – but in either case the datepicker is required because each booking is for a particular occurrence.
There may be some merit in allowing the user to select a ticket type and then filter the datepicker to show only dates where that ticket type is available.
Is that what you’re trying to do?

Yes types, that is what the thinking is.
I really like your plugin, and it is great to work with – Based on feedback – I just feel that the picker could have some more options for selecting & filtering on the frontend.
