    Dear EO team,

    I’m using the “custom-post-type-permalinks” plugin ( https://wordpress.org/plugins/custom-post-type-permalinks/ )
to achieve nice urls like mydomain.de/my-post-type/my-taxonomy/my-term/.

The same time I use the EO permalinks feature trying to achieve URLs like mydomain.de/current/my-events/category. However when I’m using the plugin mentioned above the EO plugin will give me category links “mydomain.de/current/my-events/current/my-events/event-category/”. So I tried to change the EO permalinks setting to just “/event-category/” considering that the plugin will add the post-type permalink “/current/my-events/”. The correct URLs “mydomain.de/current/my-events/category/[event_cat_slug]” is generated afterwards for category links. However, the archive page won’t show up with a 404 error. Is there any way to make this work? Unfortunately I need this plugin mentioned in the beginning for filtering my several custom-post-types in a nice way.

    Thank you

    Hi Taufue,

I found setting the permalink structure to “/%postname%/” for events in Custom Post Type Permalinks and deselecting “Use custom permalink of custom taxonomy archive” allowed me to configure the permalink structure via Event Organiser’s permalink settings tab without any issues.

    Thank you for reply, Stephen.

I was trying to say that I need that option “Use custom permalink of custom taxonomy archive” to be checked in order to achieve a filter functionality for my custom post types. Do you see a way to generate the proper EO urls with that option checked?

    Thank you so much.

Unfortunately with that option selected the plugin conflicts with EO. But you can disable it for the event post type only and use EO’s settings instead to achieve the desired url structure.
