    Hi

I have tried to edit [eo_events] but just cannot understand what is needed!

First quesiton, is there a way to remove duplicate listings? E.g. I have created this page – http://www.essexportal.co.uk/events – and any events that are on multiple days are repeated. On the built in events page I managed to Group occurrences but that option does not work on the basic short code. Is there a way to do it?

The only reason I am really using the short code is so that I can add some custom text to the top of the page – is there a way to do this on the events/event page? e.g. http://www.essexportal.co.uk/events/event

Also, I did try changing the URLs, but everything just vanished. Is the /events/ part really needed?

Loving the plugin so far though!

    HI Jon,

    To group events: [eo_events group_events_by="series"]

Regarding adding text on the events archive page – yes you can edit everything: see http://wp-event-organiser.com/documentation/editing-the-templates/ (in particular you want to edit the archive-event.php.

Nope the /events/ part isn’t needed. After changing it though, make sure you visiting your site’s General settings page and click save. This way WordPress updates the changes. You need to be careful in changing the permalinks because ambiguous urls can cause 404s (is that what happened when you changed them last time?)
