Not sure if this is possible or not.
When a user attempts to submit a booking, but they have failed to enter a required field, the page reloads and shows a message with their errors. Any data they typed in a text input field before submitting is still there (hooray), but the date dropdown and payment gateway radio buttons in the ticket picker area are reset. I’ve had several users fail to notice that the date dropdown reset, and book tickets for the wrong date. If possible, it would be great for the ticket picker options to persist through a booking error.

This is a bug with the ticket picker (when using the select menu), and separately the gateway selection. Both will are fixed for 1.6.2, due to be released in a few hours.
