    Hi

I can see how to create a venue when adding a new event and I can see how to create new Venues in the venue section, but I can’t see how you add existing venues to a new event or an existing event where no venue was added. Is there a way to do this?

    Thanks

    Hi Rebecca,

The process of selecting/creating a venue for an existing event is the same for a new event. There is a ‘combox’ for selecting venues – you can either select the arrow to view existing venues, or you can ‘search’ for an existing venue by starting to type its name.

Clicking the appropriate suggestion will select that venue and you can then save the event.

If you’re not seeing the combox that you normally do when creating a new event, it would suggest there is a javascript error on that page (probably from another plug-in).

If you right click and select ‘inspect element’ and then select ‘console’, and refresh the page, you will probably see an error message. Happy to assist with this if you’re not sure if there is an error or where it’s coming from.

Ah! It is working, I just wasn’t waiting long enough!
Just a small suggestion then, maybe a small loading icon next to the field would be a good idea for impatient people like me?

    Cheers for your help.

Will certainly file a bug report for this. In 3.0.0 it will also only fetch the top 5 venues as for sites with hundreds / thousands of venues there was a long delay, and a list that long is not very helpful.

Hi _ I’m having a similar problem – which I suspect is a JS conflict. The ‘Venue’ field is just a text field, the combox isn’t appearing.

    Thanks

Scratch that – I just didn’t wait long enough either! Now they come up
