Is there anyway to reflect the addition of VAT apart from just adding it to the ticket price?

    Hi Michael,

Can I get back to you on this? I’m fairly confident that this is already possible (but the solution is quite involved, e,g, to get the VAT to be reflected at the booking form).

client seems content with posting price as VAT-inclusive for now but anticipate they will want to change this in not too distant future. will await your response

Great, it is possible with the current release, but there are going to be a few API improvements (particular to the front-end booking form javascript), that will make this a lot easier in 1.5. This is scheduled for release early December, and I’ll write up a tutorial on how to modify the “checkout cart”, using VAT as an example, then.

If there’s popular demand it may be made into an extension.

Adding VAT is also important for us. When our workshops are seemingly more expensive then this of our competitors (because everybody in our business list nett + vat ) this will for sure have impact on bookings. I know that the prices will be the same but the smaller number is everything that count when someone’s comparing the prices.

Are this changes you spoke about already included in 1.5 Stephen?

VAT isn’t a feature in 1.5, but it is possible with it. In fact I have a early-beta VAT extension running alongside Pro 1.5 beta. This is planned for release at the start of the new year, but if you wish to test it out before then I can send you a beta copy after 1.5 is released (it requires 1.5+).

Wow, sounds like music in my ears. Would be great to be able to try it out. I just filled in the beta-tester form.
