Event Organiser 2.6 has just been released and it’s WordPress 3.8 ready…
WordPress 3.8 ready
2.6 has been tested against early alpha versions of WordPress 3.8 and WordPress 3.8 Release Candidate 1 released yesterday. It also continues to retain backwards compatibility all the back to WordPress 3.3.
Unless you’re using the MP6 plug-in or testing out WordPress 3.8 you won’t notice much change. But as soon as you upgrade to WordPress 3.8, Event Organiser will adapt to fit seamlessly into your new WordPress admin.
Event Organiser Pro 1.5 will be also be released shortly, and this update will also be WordPress 3.8 ready.
RTL Support for calendars
RTL support for both admin & front-end calendars has been added. This should be automatic depending on the language your site is being viewed in. However, you can also set it manually:
[eo_fullcalendar isrtl=true]
Translations
Bokmål (Norway), Catalan, French, Italian, Portuguese (Brazil) and Spanish translations have all been updated. And an Icelandic translation has been added (thanks to HrHagedorn)
iCal feed bug
An error with the iCal feed has been fixed. This issue affected events in which all the following criteria were met:
- Ran weekly
- Were not all-day events
- Occurred on a different day in UTC timezone compared to the event’s local timezone. (E.g. Monday 9pm event in EST, is a Tuesday event in UTC).
Other minor bugs
Other bugs fixed included fixings & adding missing text domains for translatable strings, an incorrect ‘Select Category’ label for the venues widget, and ensuring the cache key for the admin calendar was set per-user.
