    I’m working on a project that involves lifting a small panel super quickly — speed matters more than force in my case. I’ve used standard actuators before, but they’re just too slow for what I need now. Has anyone here found something that’s both reliable and fast? Preferably under 12 volts and compact, because the setup doesn’t allow for bulky motors or complicated wiring. Just trying to avoid the trial-and-error route again.

    Yeah, been there! I had to build a fast-adjusting camera slider for a time-lapse rig last fall, and slow actuators were killing the vibe. Eventually found something that worked — if speed is your main concern, the high speed actuator https://www.progressiveautomations.com/products/pa-st1 is definitely worth checking out. I paired it with a simple control box and it zipped along way faster than my old setup. It’s not meant for super heavy loads, but for anything light, it moves like a dream.

    Funny how some builds really force you to think outside the box. I’ve been dealing with limited space too, and sometimes just finding the right power source that doesn’t overheat is the biggest challenge. Plus, when it comes to small enclosures, cable management is a whole separate nightmare.
