I recently updated the event organiser plugin, but we are still experiencing a problem where the “sync schedule” setting is not kept randomly. I can click the “update feed settings” button and the ical feed updates like it is suppose to and a message appears under the setting that states the time of the next feed sync. When the ical feed stops syncing the message about the next feed sync disappears and I have to click the update feed button again. This seems to be happening whether I am logged in or not. Thanks for your help!

Hi Bryan,
What plug-in(s) do you have installed alongside Event Organiser / iCal, and what sync interval are you using?

Stephen Harris
Auto Refresh Single Page<br />
Event Organiser
Event Organiser ICAL Sync
Event Organiser Pro
InfiniteWP – Client<br />
Responsive Add Ons
Show Current Template
Soliloquy
TinyMCE Advanced
I set a custom sync interval at 10 minutes. I have been using the same settings for over a year and they stopped working a couple of months ago. The calendar will sync several days in a row sometimes and then stop fetching the ical feed unexpectedly.

Thanks Bryan,
I’ve had one other customer report this issue. I’ve asked them the same question to see if there’s any common plug-in in use, as I’m fairly certain this issue is being caused by another plug-in: iCal sync just registers a routine to run periodically and WordPress handles the making sure it runs when necessary.

Well, I removed all plugins except event organiser and auto refresh single page. The ical feed continued to update for several weeks, but then stopped again. I have been running the single page auto refresh plugin since the first day we started this website and I can’t find an alternative to this plugin. Do you have any suggestions? I really need to get this fixed, our staff has basically stopped using the website because it just stops updating randomly.

Bryan Rohling
I removed the auto refresh plugin and added some code to the header.php file to trigger a page reload. I will see if that fixes the problem. Let me know if you have any other advise.
