Hi,
I just imported an ical feed and received the following message for all events:
“Event does not have a unique identifier (UID) property.”
How do I fix this?
Thank you!

Hi Tiffany,
In your feed, for each VEVENT component you’ll need to specify a (globally unique) value for the UID property. See, for instance, http://www.kanzaki.com/docs/ical/uid.html

Hi Stephen,
Thank you for replying. I’m sorry I’m not sure what any of that means or how I achieve that. Is this something I’m supposed to change in iCal or in WordPress?
Tiffany Baker
You should be including that in the iCal feed – so you’ll need to edit the script you are using to produce that feed.

Thank you. I’m not using a script I’m simply putting the ical url in the plugin. And what exactly am I supposed to put in the script? How do I do this? Could you please be more detailed. I didn’t know I would have to have such technical knowledge to use your plugin. Thank you!

Sorry Tiffany, I had assumed that you were developing the script responsible for generating the iCal feed.
Where did you get the URL from? http://yesbookit.com/? The problem is that the URL you are using is to an invalid iCal feed – it doesn’t meet the iCal specifications. Its the responsibility of whoever is maintaining the iCal feed (YesBookit) to ensure that it meets specifications – so you’ll need to speak to them.
